JOLLY CHRISTMAS PARTY
After-Care Association A delightful Christmas party was given by the After Care Association recently. The club room was beautifully decorated with Howers and streamers and a large Christmas tree. laden with presents, gave joy to the children assembled.
The committee responsible for the work during the year and the happy breaking-up were Mrs. J. Moore, J.l’., president; Mrs. 11. Chapman,. secretary: Mrs. C. Stewart, treasurer; Mesdaines D. Contts, F. Ward, Henderson, Emerson, YViddop, Bird, Jamieson. Misses Low, Johnson and Emerson. Little Joan Widdop presented Mrs. Moore with a bouquet. Among the guests present were Dr. Gray. Mr. and Mrs. P. Fraser. .Mr. O'Connor. Mrs. Strong. Mrs. Cox. and the mothers of the children. Eulogistic speeches were made by Mr. P. Fraser. 1)1.P.. and Mr. O'Connor, headmaster of Clyde Quay School, referred to the wonderful work achieved by the committee during the year. Mrs. Cooper, on behalf of the mothers, thanked the committee for the care and pleasure given to (he children. The secretary wishes to thank Mrs. Dick, of the Mental Department, and to sympathisers who sent donations and gifts.
