Business Man’s Time-saver
Air travel proved a great time-saver yesterday for Mr. R. E. B. Worth, the representative of an English factory who is touring New Zealand. At 11 o’clock on Sunday evening the Wellington Aero Club received a telephone message from Mr, Worth in Christchurch, and a request was made for quick transport to Wellington. The Aero Club’s “Waco” machine was summoned from Blenheim, and with Mr. G. Bolt as pilot it left Rongotai at 6.40 a.m. yesterday and picked up Mr. Worth and his sister at Wigram at 10.55 a.m.
The travellers wore In a Wellington hotel well before 1 p.m., the actual flying time from Christchurch having been 1 hour 35 minutes.
