RECORDS AT SPORTS
Croydon School Scholars One record was broken and three equalled at the Croydon School athletic sports, held in the school grounds at Day’s Bay on Saturday. In the 100 yards open for 10 aiid under, Lewis minor broke the previous record of 14 seconds by a fifth of a second, and in the hurdles, equalled the record of 151-5 seconds. Morrison, in tbe senior open hurdles, equalled the record of 121-5 seconds, and in the junior open hurdles Lewis major equalled the record of 13 seconds. Conditions were somewhat unpleasant with a boisterous wind, but that did not deter many parents and friends from attending. The competitors showed keen competition, and the events were efficiently run. The senior champion was E. J. Kain, the junior P. Lewis, and the 10 years and under champion W. Lewis.
