Hawke’s Bay Defeated CANTERBURY’S TASK Batsmen Race Against Time By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Dee. 10. Canterbury won the cricket match against Hawke’s Bay to-day by nine wickets, but with only about a minute before the drawing of stumps. Hawke s Bay declared with nine wickets down .for 282, leaving Canterbury 213 runs to get, with two hours to play. It was <t race against time and eventually the batsmen just won.
