Granites Goldfield in Australia . “UNDUE OPTIMISM” By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. (Received Nov. 20, 6.30 p.m.). Canberra, Nov. 20. The feeling is growing among Federal politicians that there should be a public inquiry into the Granites goldfield situation. A preliminary report by Professor Madigan has convinced Ministers and members on all sides, of the House that undue optimism has been shown by certain interests in their descriptions of the field. Another report, by Messrs. Clark and Gibson, mining engineers, declared that the western section was practically The latest report is from Mr. G. Ramsay, who is working the eastern section.
