Children’s Theatre Performance Another crowded audience witnessed the performance of the popular pantomime, “Dick Whittington,’’ by the Children’s Theatre Players, on Saturday afternoon at the Concert Chamber. The players were all at their best, and Dick and his clever cat were followed in their many adventures with the keenest interest by the sympathetic and enthusiastic children present. Pirates, who danced the Lancers to a funeral march with great abandon, a shipwreck, lovely fairies, a banquet where Demon Bad Weather is at last conquered, and a very clever dance by the King of Rats were some of the many attractions. Those taking part were: Kersty Page, Joan Anderson, Annette Strickland, Garde Wilson, Edward Parlett, L. Singleton Smith, Irene Spidy, Molly Brown, F. H. Dawn, Isobel Young, Girleen Griffiths, Harry Plimmer, Rosalind Stott, H. Plimmer, Stanhope Andrews, S. Andrews, M. Arcus, Anne Blakiston and Eleanor Page. The animal costumes and accessories were provided by Madame Foley, and the Children’s Theatre wardrobe. A feature which added much to the pleasure of the entertainment was the music, of which Miss M. Putnam was iu charge. She had to assist her Miss Prue Lewis, and Miss Ormi Reid. | The important and very successful lighting effects were again the work of Mr. G. Colledgc. Mr. Robb and his band of ushers had an exceedingly busy time.
