Meeting of Ladies’ Auxiliary The monthly meeting of the Boys' Institute Ladies’- Auxiliary was held this week, the following members being present:—Mrs. J. Hislop, in the chair, Mesdames R. G. Reveirs, treasurer; Kemp, Pow, Short, Remington, Wilson, Sol Myers,' Talbot,' Leslie, W. McCallum, Miss Gilchrist and Miss M. Wills, secretary. The report on the work of the home for the past month was received and proved satisfactory. The, boarding establishment was visited by three members of the auxiliary during the month, and pleasure was expressed at the satisfactory conditions of the home, where boys were boarded from 7/6 per week, according to the earnings of the boys. At the close of the meeting an appeal was made for assistance for the Street Day Appeal, to be held by the Associated Boys’ Organisations on behalf of those institutions in the city engaged in work on behalf of the boys, and a ready response was met with.
