GARDEN PARTY AT HUTT

Queen Margaret Old Girls Arrangements are well in hand for the garden -party which is to be held at “Whltinuir,” the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Kersley, Western Hutt Road, Lower Hutt. This function will take place next Saturday, and will be officially opened by Mr. John T. Maritn, at 2145 p.m. The effort is being organised by the Queen Margaret College Old Girls’ Association-in or-, dor to complete the old girls’ scholar-, ship fund, for which the association has -been working for the past few years. , x lt is confidently hoped that all friends of Queen Margaret College and all garden lovers will avail themselves of the opportunity of this outing. There will be many attractive stalls stocked with useful articles. These will include cakes, preserves, sweets, handkerchiefs, novelties, plum paddings, flowers, and plants. Interesting competitions will provide amusement for all, aud a dainty'home-inade afternoon tea will be served.

Donations in money or kind will.be gratefully received ijy the members of the Old Giris’ Association, aud may be sent to Aliss Afarjorie Smith, Queen Alargarot College, or Miss Doreen Kersley, at “Whitmuir,” AA'estern Hutt Road, Lower Hutt. Special transport arrangements are advertised in this issue.
