Rumanian Offer to Helen
Bucharest, Oct. 30.
The Rumanian Government has offered Queen Helen the following conditions without alternatives: —(1) A sum equal to what she received prior to the reduction of the entire civil list and State employees’ salaries, or nearly £14,000 a year; (2) permission to see her son, the Crown Prince Michael, in Switzerland for a month every year; (3) permission to visit Rumania, residing where the Government desires. She has been given until to-morrow to reply.
