ANNUAL SCHOOL DANCE
St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream
A most successful and enjoyable dance was given at St. Patrick’s College, Sllverstream, at the conclusion of the dancing term on Saturday night. The gaily decorated assembly hall, where dancing took place, was massed with lovely rhododendrons from the garden of Mrs. Macarthy-Reid, and draped with blue and white, the college colours. The guests were received by the rector, the staff, and the prefects. Miss Barbara Putnam, who was the hostess of the evening, and arranged the dancing, wore a well-cut frock of floral georgette with one of the new shoulder capes. The chapcrones included Mrs. Goodson, wearing a black lace frock and coat of silver and black tissue; Mrs. Madden, sapphire blue lace; Mrs. McEvedy, orchid mauve georgette, with a shoulder spray of flowers the same shade; Mrs. Campbell, black georgette and lace with touches of geranium red; Mrs. Bourke, black lace; Mrs. Chamness, navy blue georgette and lace. A dainty supper was served in the boys’ refectory. , ■ Among the guests who motored from town were Misses Madden (2), McEvedy (2), Nutter, Stott, Goodson (2), McKay, Miller, Standish, Fleming, Collins, Hughes, Bourke (2), Elvers, O’Connor, Fenn, Loughnan, Kofoed, Coltman, Ryan, Pearce (2), Abbott, Rodgers, Larkin, Vickers, Redmond.
