£2,000,000 SAVING
New South Wales Overhauls Dole Payments LOWER TAX POSSIBLE (Rec. Oct 30, 6.30 p.m.) Sydney, Oct. 30. Due to the overhauling of dole payments and extra vigilance which is minimising imposition, believed that a saving of £2.000,000 will be effected this year in New South Wales.. Cabinet will shortly consider the lowering of the wage tax. GLEBE DEMONSTRATION Sydney, Oct 28. There was another unemployed demonstration to-night at Glebe against tae dole questionnaire. There were many fiery speeches, but the presence of a large body of police had a restraining influence and there was no disorder.
