CARRIED OFF BY EAGLE
Child Found Uninjured With no trace of fear, a little boy found on the top of a precipitous rock, stated a recent message from Madras, joyfully exclaimed: “The bird brought me here in its beak.” The child had been playing in the open, and a big eagle had been seen hovering over it. When the child did not return home his mother became anxious, and searched for her son all over the village, but could not find him. Those who had seen the eagle hovering in the neighbourhood surmised that the child must have been carried away by the bird, and search parties set out into the neighbouring hills. After hours of searching, someone noticed the child on the top of a precipitous’ and apparently inaccessible rock. However, one of the men managed to reach the summit, and there, to his surprise, he found the child safe and sound.
