In a Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and Queensland, Victoria in the first innings made 552 (O’Brien not out 145, Darling 185). Oxenham took four wickets for 95. Queensiaand in the first innings made 54 (top scores 13 by Cook and Gough respectively). Fleetwood Smith took six wickets for 22, and Ironmonger four for 9. Queensland in the second innings have lost two wickets for 42.
