Court Imposes Sentences

Tokio, October 29.
Sentences were imposed on Communists in the Tokio district court to-day as follow: The four ringleaders received life imprisonment; six others from ten to fifteen years, and eightyseven from two to nine years. The prosecutor demanded the death penalty for the leaders. . Manabu Sano, the most distinguished prisoner, announced his intention to appeal. He denounced the police for their exploitation of a recent bank robbery as the work of Communists.
