HALLOWE’EN FAIR

Entertainment Concludes 'Die Hallowe'en Fair was brought to a fitting conclusion on Saturday night, when a crowd of Y.W.U.A. members and friends enjoyed a special Hallowe'en ]irogrammc. A talk by Mr. Albert Russell on the origin of Ail Saints’ Night was followed by the Witches’. Scene from “Macbeth” given by the Business Girls’ Council, a number by the Aeolean Quartet, a dramatic skit "Light and Shade” by Mr. John and Miss Peggy Pike, two dance items by the pupils of Miss Olliver, and a ghost “stunt” by the senior chib girls. Community singing under the baton of Mr. Russell was also held, Airs. Russell giving solo numbers. An “apple-ou-the-string” competition and a novelty supper in keeping with the spirit of Hallowe’en were a fitting conclusion to a pleasurable entertain--55W.t.
