A TIMELY BETRAYAL. A visitor to the country while, being shown over the farm had the misfortune to slip, unnoticed by his host,, into a water-course. Although only his feet were wet he spent a very unhappy day trying to conceal his discomfort. Bnt what a smile concealed, a sneeze soon betrayed, and he was finally obliged to explain what happened. “Oh I I’ll soon fix you up,” assured the wife of his host, who brought out. a large bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver. “Here in the country we could not afford to be without our ‘Baxter’s.’ We’re never without a bottle.” This faith in “Baxter’s” is typical of nearly all New Zealand people, who recognise “Baxter’s” as the outstanding remedy for coughs, colds, chills, and chest troubles.
