Technical School Events HIGH JUMP RECORD Disturbing weather conditions were experienced for the Wellington Technical College Sports which were held at the Basin Reserve yesterday. . The weather was dull when the meeting began, and although the sun came out later there was a strong wind blowing, which prevented very fast times. The only record broken during tne meeting was that for the junior high jump, in which event Wilson set up a new record by clearing 4 feet 8J inches. EAST GIRLS’ COLLEGE Sports Meeting Results Keen competition was evident in the events on the programme of the Wellington East Girls’ College annual sports, which were held yesterday. The senior championship was won by June Mitchell with nine points, N. Larkin with five points being runner-up. Mavis Scott won the junior championship, also with nine points, .the runnerup being J.
