Success May be Achieved

“Static, fading, and interference may possibly soon be overcome,” stated Mr. A. D. Baggs, A.M.I.E-E., Assoc. 1.R.E., in a lecture to the New Zealand Hadio Institute on Thursday. Sets incorporating this feature were already in production in the United States of America, but they contained about twice as many valves as the normal set. During the evening reference was made to the late Mr. 'G. B. S. King, who met his death in the aeroplane crash at Tawa Flat on Tuesday. The late Mr. King had played a prominent part in the foundation of the institute, and was recognised as one of the leading radio technicians in Wellington. As a mark of respect the meeting stood in silence for a brief interval.
