Bright Spots in Tail-Wagger World
Sir, —I do not know which 1 value most —a threepenny piece or two pound notes —strange statement, and yet . The threepenny piece was handed to me by a young man as I left the Christchurch Magistrates’ Court after being fined £2 and costs for collecting for the TailWagger Club’s funds without a permit, while the two pound notes were found in Prince’s collecting box to-day after a lady had inquired the amount of the fine inflicted in Christchurch. How these things cheer one. Then the people in Christchurch whom the Council decided should not be allowed to help the dogs have started sending in funds direct. I would give worlds to have a tail to wag in response to these great-hearted people. The world’s all right while there are humans like these about. —I am, etc., —R.R.W. Wgton., Oct. 25
