The Banks Peninsula Racing Club's meeting, which was. to have been held at Motukarara ou Saturday, has been postponed owing to the condition of the course. In spite'of fine weather, to-day it is so wet that the stewards consider it cannot be fit for racing on Saturday. MELBOURNE GALLOPS — Flemington and Caulfield Melbourne, Oct. 27. 'The Melbourne Cup candidate. Jaldiwallah, was unplaced in yesterday’s Kynetou Handicap. The Doctor's Orders, engaged in the Cantala Stakes, was second in the race. Silent Bird has injured a knee, and there is a possibility of her not starting in the Cup. Viol d’Amour is also causing his trainer anxiety. Top Hole has developed heat in the near foreleg, which may meatf his withdrawal from the Derby. M. McCarten will ride Green Wave in the Cantala Stakes.
