■RELEASES for Palmerston North inXl ' elude a variety of subjects ranging from .comedies to western thrillers. “Beatify, arid tlie Boss,” is an up-to-the-■minute comedy romance with a most piquant flavour. It features Warfen William and Marian Marsh. “The Beggar Student,” starring Lance Fairfax, of “Desert Song” fame, and Shirlev Dale, is a delightful musical comedy, and “Destry Bides Again” serves to introduce Toni Mix in another of liis famous Western roles. Of course, Tony, the wonder horse, plays a big part in the film. “Society Girl,” with James Dunn and Peggy Shannon, is a fast-moving comedy-drama, and “The Sentimental Bloke” is an Au. tralian masterpiece adapted from the celebrated C J. Dennis poems. Another successful offering is “So Big.” the screen version of the widely-read Edna Ferber novel. The all-star cast is headed by Barbara Stanwyck and George Brent.
