Man Remanded for Sentence A jury in the Supreme Court yesterday found Alexander Herd, 22, seaman, guilty on two counts of breaking and entering, and theft from a tobacconist’s shop at 143 Featherston Street, Wellington, on September 17. The missing goods included tobacco, pipes, and other articles to the value of £l2/1/9 and £9/14/6 in money. Prisoner, from the dock, said the goods found on him were given to him by the man who had been dealt with in the Police Court in connection with the same case. He had given the man' a meal at a restaurant, and the man then gave him the pipe , and tobacco. Prisoner was indicted on three counts and was found guilty on two. Mr. Justice MacGregor remanded prisoner for sentence;
