SENSATIONAL ROUND Basil Smith was in brilliant form in the Akarana championship competition on Saturday. In defeating J. Coltman by 8 and 6. he did a sensational round of 67, which broke his own record for the Akarana course by four strokes. It is to be hoped this brilliant young Aucklander will show some of these fireworks at the national tournament.
