ESPERANTO CLUB

The weeklv meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Tuesday evening in the Y.M.C.A., Mr. Bertram Potts presiding. After the transaction of formal business, groups were formed for instruction under experienced leaders. To the advanced class Mr. E. C. Jack gave a blackboard demonstration of the use of correlative words. The second half of the evening was devoted to selected readings by Messrs. G. Harkness ("My Father's Typewriter”), and E. C. Jack (“A Last Farewell”), and to an interesting talk on “Common Things,” adapted for beginners, by Miss C. Smythson. Mr. B. Potts advised a departure from stereotyped methods in teaching, thus creating a deepened interest on the part of students.
