MOTHERS’ HELPERS
Yesterday afternoon the monthly meeting of the Mothers’ Helpers’ Society was held, with Mrs. E. p. Norman, president, in the chair. Those present were Mesdames Coleridge, McFarland, McKibbin, Halligan, M. Anderson, Bay. field, and Darling., Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Earle, F. Ward, G. Reid, M. Reid, N. Brown, Kane, and Miles. The meeting passed a hearty vote of thanks to the Macarthy Trust for its generous help, also a vote of thanks to Miss . Connop for lending the Adelphi Cabaret for the bridge party held last week in aid of the society’s funds. It was decided that a jumble sale be hold on November 4, and it was announced that the City Council had allotted December 9 for a street day. The guessing competition for a box of tea was won by Mrs. Creagh O’Connor, Grant Road.
