Half a Mile Out to Sea DEATH FROM EXHAUSTION By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, August 15. Mabel Edna Roberts, aged nineteen, a daughter of Mr. Leonard Thomas Roberts, of Hewling Street, went bathing in the bay at 10.30 this morning. Her father, who was anxious on account of her health, followed, but was unable to find her, but found her clothes on the beach. Half an hour later he noticed her swimming half a mile out A fishing boat went to her rescue, and picked her up alive. . , Artificial respiration wss resorted to, but death ensued, due, states medical opinion, to exhaustion from the cold water.
