PEDESTRIAN INJURED
Knocked Over by Car Dominion Special Service. Masterton, August 14. As the result of being knocked down by a motor-car on the Masterton-Carter-ton highway at about 6 p.m. on Saturday, an elderly man, William Stewart McCutcheon, Masterton, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital suffering from scalp wounds and shock. The driver of the car was Mr. R. J. Corke, Waingawa. It is stated that he was apparently dazzled by the lights of an approaching car, and struck Me. Cutcheon, who was walking along the roadway. The hospital authorities stated to-night that Mr. McCutcheon’s condition is not serious, and that he was progressing satisfactorily.
