Competitions Played During the Week-end WATT CUP MATCHES Two Watt Cup matches were decided during the week-end, Manor Park defeating Shandon on the Shandon links by Qi games to 2), and Titahi and Paekakariki sharing honours on the Paekakariki course. Hunter (Shandon) has been playing very consistently of late, and he went out in 38 to beat J. Burns by 6 up. F. Page, P. Williams, D. Cody, D. Porter, and J. Forbes were all in great form for Manor Park, and won their games by wide margins. ■ MANOR PARK CLUB The qualifying rounds of the, senior and junior championships were played on the Manor Park links during the weekend. Mackay, 2 'up. '■''■ - The final was played yesterday over 36 holes, when Matthews beat J. C. Marchbanks, 7 and 6. March-banks had to concede his opponent 28 strokes, and the hurdle was too stiff. ( SIX GAMES EACH Paekakariki Surprise Titahi That Paekakariki, the baby of the Watt Cup teams, is coming along well, was proved in the Watt Cup match on the Paekakariki links yesterday, .with Titahi, both teams winning six games. Titahi Bay, however, won the match, as they took 46 holes to Paekakariki’s 14.
