SENTENCED TO DEATH
President’s Murderer GORGULOFF TRIAL OVER •Paris, July 27. The trial of Paul Gorguloff, a Russian, for the murder of President Doumer, has concluded. The Public Prosecutor described Gorguloff as a depraved bigamist and a latter-day Rasputin. Counsel for the defence contended that Gorguloff was an absolute lunatic. The jury retired for twenty-five minutes and returned with a verdict of premeditated murder. The death sentence was passed on Gorguloff, who was led away'-shouting unintelligibly.
