Mrs. Dannatt and Miss M. Roberts are Wellington visitors to Christchurch. Mrs. C. G Macindoe, of Remuera, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs; S. Collins, Wellington. Miss Queenie Cornish, Lyttelton, who has been visiting Mrs. 11. Whyte, Wellington, has returned home. Mrs. Snell arrived in Wellington from Auckland recently and will make her home here. Mrs.' F. Hamilton, of Nelson, is visiting Wellington; having recently returned from a holiday in Auckland. Miss Dorothy Turner, Palmerston North, will return home ta-morrow after a brief visit to Wellington. Mrs. R. C. Mountfort, who has been the guest of Mrs. R. Forrest, of Mount Eden, Auckland, returned to Wellington on .Wednesday. Miss K Woodhouse, who was on the nursing staff from .1922 to 1930, has been appointed sister of ward 2' at the Wellington Public Hospital. Mrs. <l. Halligan,- Grove Road, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Cook, expects to return from Auckland tomorrow morning. Mrs. N. Malcolm Mackinnon, Napier, who has been spending a short holiday with Mrs. George Luke, Lower Hutt, returned by the express yesterday to her home in Hawke's Bay. Miss Maureen Fenwick,- Auckland, who motored through to Wellington, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Maurice O’Connor, Rongotai. She was accompanied by Miss Marjorie Chyle, Auckland.

Mrs. J. Caiman, of Fremantle, Australia, is at present visiting Wellington, and is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Myers, Karori. Mrs. Caiman will later take up her residence iu Auckland.

Miss Jean Stevenson, general secretary of the Y,W.C.A., left yesterday for a brief visit to the Auckland district. Miss Pattie Levett, “Beedes,” Bulls, will be a passenger to England by the Rangitiki, leaving Auckland on August 4. The Ngaio Mothers’ Club held a most enjoyable evening on Monday in the kindergarten. The guests had a merry time playing kindergarten games, dancing and competitions. It was an “odd” evening agd well carried out. An excellent supper was provided by the members.
