BIG BAR OF GOLD
Recovery from Laurentic (Rec. July 14, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 13. A bar of gold, valued at £20,000, was recovered by the salvage steamer Estoy from the Laurentic, sunk during the ■ war off the coast of Ireland. The divers were impeded by the weather, and had difficulty in reaching the gold, which was embedded in the sand-cov-ered wreck.
