LAND ANNUITIES
Instalment Now Due Will Not be Paid DE VALERA’S VIEWPOINT By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. (“Times” Cable.) (Rec. June 15, 7.45 p.m.) London, June 15. The Dublin correspondent of “The Times” states that Mr. de Valera had a lengthy conversation with lawyers about the Note he proposes to send to the Dominions Secretary, Mr. J. H. Thomas, concerning land annuities, of which £1,500,000 falls due to-day. Mr. de Valera has no intention of transmitting the money, taking the view that if Britain believes she is entitled to it she must prove her case in a court of law.
