Cycling Representation TRIALS TO BE HELD Trials under the auspices of the Cycling Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association are to be held to ascertain whether the standard of cycling in New Zealand will justify the nomination of- any cyclist for inclusion in the Dominion’s team for the Olympic Games at Los Angeles next July. It was decided at a recent meeting of the cycling council in Wellington that if possible track trials should be held on the banked track at Wanganui on April 29, while road trials would be run on the Wanganui-Levin course on April 30. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs. A. Shephard, G. H. Harrison and C. W. McCbnchie was appointed to consider details, and the trials will be over Olympic distances. The centres will be required to pay the expenses of any riders submitted for trial. r . Mr. A. Shephard a.id the president were appointed to discuss a change of name with the club. Reinstatements were granted to the Patea cyclists, R. W. C. Signal, R. M. Clarkson and G. S. Signal.
