Your meter-mau will show you how the control works, and a sliyht adjustment will probably effect a saviny in your yas hill. To clean the. steel-work of your store, mi.r toycthcr equal- parts of whitiny and powdered bath-brick; apply with a moist cloth and polish with a dry one. The inside of the oven, should he thorouyhly cleaned once a week with one of the preparations sold for the purpose. If the oven is coal-heated and not enamelled, the interior can be kept sweet and clean with, an occasional coat of lime-wash. This precaution will help considerably in keeping the kitchen atmosphere sweet and free from the smell of cookiny. When briyht saucepans or kettles hare Io be used orcr a smoky lire, rub a little yrcase orcr the briyht part. This will prevent the smoke from blackening it. and the utensil will be as briyht as ever when washed.
