Choice by King and Queen GUIDE FOR WOMEN Dominion Special Service. (By Mavis.) London. February 17. Four original coloured court gowns by a famous Loudon dressmaker were viewed by the King and Queen ai Buckingham Palace last week ami approved by them. They are now on view at the Lord Chamberlain’s office at. St. James’s Palace for the guiiiuuee of women summoned to attend this season’s Royal Courts at the Palace. The Queen, who takes a great interest in the “Buy British” campaign, also had some of the models from yesterday’s “London fashions” parade sent to Buckingham Palace for a private view. Her Majesty was delighted with the gowns and sent messages of encouragement and good wishes to the designers. BAKED EGGS ON TOMATOES Butter a fireproof glass or china pie dish. Fill two-thirds deep with sliced tomatoes seasoned with, grated onion, pepper and salt. Place generous pieces of butter here and there and cook until practically done. Break,sufficient eggs on top, return to oven until just set. Serve garnished with fried parsley and tiny slices of crisp bacon.
