Hill—McKenzie An evening wedding was solemnised at 'Wesley Church, Wellington, recently, by the Rev. T. R. Richards, of. Helen Christina, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. McKenzie, of Ranglora, Canterbury, and William Roy, only son of Mr. and Sirs. J. F. Hill, Wadcstown. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a fitting model frock of ivory satin and lace with full lace skirt. The Limerick lace veil, lent by Mrs. Thompson, Christchurch, formed a train and was arranged under a half-circlet of orange blossom buds falling over each shoulder. She carried a sheaf of lilies and roses in shades of pink and white. The bridesmaids were Misses Myra and Doris McKenzie, sisters of the bride, and Miss Lilia Hill, sister of the bridegroom, who wore frilled floral ninon frocks in shades of green,, pink and blue respectively, with picture felt hats and shoes in the same shades. They carried posies to tone, tied with tulle. Mr. D. W. McKenzie, Lower Hutt, was best man. The bride’s mother wore a smart black and ivory silk marocain frock and black hat with ostrich plume, and carried a bouquet of deep crimson roses. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of bottle green georgette and lace with lace coatee and hat to tone. She carried a cream and gold bouquet. The wedding music was played by Mr. 11. Temple White, and during the signing of the register Allitsen’s “Song of Thanksgiving” was sung by Miss Christina Ormiston. The reception was held at The Kiosk, Kelburn, where the guests were received by the bride’s mother. The bride and groom left for a motor tour of the north, the bride wearing a wool crepc-de-chine dress of almond green, a coat of novelty face cloth of a deeper shade, with large musquash collar and cuffs, and a jaunty green hat. * * ' t Shaw—Good St. Mary’s Church, Hawera, was beautifully decorated on "Wednesday, April 6, for the wedding of Alison, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Good, of “Raumanui,” Hdwera, to Basil, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. b. Shaw, England. Over 200 guests were present. Tbe bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautifully cut frock of white satin, the long flowing lines finishing in a train. The bodice was cut at the neck into A shape, and the skirt and bodice bad insets of old lace. The lace veil was held in place with orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of belladonna lilies. There were three bridesmaids, dressed alike in pale green georgette, cut very simple, with tiny basques below tho waist, with bfindcaux in tb.cir hair. Tbcv were Misses Helen Bayley, Hawke’s Bay, M. McGregor, Wellington, and M. Good, cousin of the bride. All wore green shoes to match their frocks, and carried bouquets in 'autumn tones. Archdeacon Evans, of New Plymouth, performed the ceremony, assisted by’ the Rev. W. James. Messrs. Anson, Wellington, H. Good, Hawera, and W. Hewitt, Cambridge, supported the bridegroom. A reception was held lifter the ceremony at “Raumanui,” which was also adorned with flowers. The wedding breakfast was held in a huge marquee, erected on the lawn. Mrs. Good receivc ’ her fiesta wearing a frock of prune crepe satin,, with hat to match. Mrs. Chubbs Johnson, of Auckland, aunt of the bride, was among the guests.
