CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE

Wellington Women’s Union There was a splendid attendance at an afternoon recently given by the Wellington Women’s Christian Temperance Union. Miss C. E. Kirk presided, and Mrs. Murray led the devotions. Apologies for absence and greetings, were sent by Mesdames Peryman, Harry, arid members of Brooklyn Union. The object, of the afternoon was to hoar the different reports of convention from' delegates who attended. Most of the Wellington unions were represented. Mrs. Priestly, of Wellington Central, spoke of the devotional part. The social side was taken by Mrs. Porte, the Wellington deiegate. Other speakers were Mesdames Aldersley (Hutt), and Wood (Karori).
