LAWLESS HAWAIIANS
Charges of Lax Authority 'SPORT-LOVING GOVERNOR (Rec. January 14, 7.30 p.in.). Washington, January 13. The House Committee on Naval Affairs has issued a report stating that laxity on the part of the Hawaiian- authorities has convinced the lawless elements in Honolulu that assaults on womqn can be committed “without serious consequences” to the perpetrators. Tile Governor is charged with pardoning an alleged '.assault on a woman in order to enable him to go to New York to participate in a boxing match. The Governor of Hawaii, Lawrence JI. Judd, assumed office in Jnly, 1929. His term ends next year.
