POLICE FORCE
Promotions and Transfers
Promotions and transfers in the Police Force were announced yesterday as follow: —
Inspector J. Cummings, Dunedin, is transferred to Wellington, where he will be attached to the Commissioner’s office for relieving and special duty.
Senior-Sergeant Donald Cameron, Dunedin, is promoted to the rank of sub-inspector. He will remain at Dunedin,
Senior-Sergeant G. B. Edwards, Wellington, is promoted to the rank of sub-inspector and transferred to Christchurch.
Sergeant D. L. Calwell, Waihi, is promoted to the rank of senior-sergeant and transferred to Wellington to replace Senior-Sergeant Edwards. Senior-Sergeant 11. Martin. Ashburton, is transferred to Dunedin to replace Senior-Sergeant Cameron. Sergeant W. T. Kelly, Christchurch, is transferred to Ashburton to replace Senior-Sergeant Martin. Sergeant G. Sievyer, Tanmaruuul, will take charge of the Wellington South station in place of Sergeant Hogan, who is retiring on superannuation. Sergeant P. C. Felton, Newton station, Auckland, is transferred to Tanmarunui, where he will be in charge. Constable L. T. Moore, Kaitangata, is promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to Christchurch. Constable D. W. Black, Nelson, Is promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to Auckland,
