CHILDREN’S* PARTY
An enjoyable children’s Christmas party was held by the leaders and members of the Sunshine Brigade in the Island Bay Methodist Sunday School last Saturday afternoon. Delicious afternoon tea was provided, and during the afternoon Father Christmas distributed a toy and a packet of sweets to each of the 74 children present. Items were rendered by June McNabb, Doris Leslie, Fay Ambrose, Sylvia Lockwood, Joy Baker, Mavis Weeber, Shirley and Lois McEwen, and Doreen and Phyllis Thompson.
Mrs. R. L. Macallster, who recently returned to Wellington, has been the guest at several delightful tea parties. Among those who entertained her were Mrs. Eric Riddlford and Mrs. von Zedlitz.
