Renovating Customhouse Quay.— Following on the construction of a safety zone and a new tram shelter in the Post Office Square section of Customhouse Quay, a start has been made in altering the surface of the road. The old wooden blocks are being removed and the surface laid down in bitumen and concrete. A footpath is also to be provided on the waterfront side. —“Dominion photo.
