SILVER WEDDING
Mr. and Mrs. H. Martindale The Adelphi Cabaret was the, scene of a most enjoyable party on Wednesday evening, wien Mr. and Mrs. H. Martindale, of Lyall Bay, entertained their friends, the occasion being their silver wedding. Over 100 guests were present, and during supper short speeches of congratulation were made by Messrs. T. Coltman and J. J. Quinn, Mr. Martindale suitably responding. The floral decorations were very effective. Balloons, streamers, hats, etc., were dispensed during the dancing, and the gathering came to a close with the singing of "For They are Jolly Good Fellows,” and cheers for Mr. and Mrs. Martindale and family. Martindale, tangerine satin; Miss Shirley Martindale, pink net; Miss Lesley Martindale, blue tulle; Mrs. Dealy, black satin; Miss L. Dealy, green georgette.; Miss D. Dealy, black georgette; Mrs. McMillan, black georgette and silver; Mrs. C. Boyle, black lace; Mrs. McLean, red georgette; Mrs. Coltman, black crepe de chine, diamante trimming; Mrs. J. Murphy, black georgette and lace; Mrs. Findlay, blue georgette; Mrs. Campbell, red lace; Mrs. Bridge, grey and blue georgette; Miss M. Burgess, black lace; Miss T. Burgess, beige lace; Miss McDonell, black lace: Miss Casey, black floral georgette; Miss N. Bridge, rose pink georgette; Miss Paulsen, floral taffetas: Mrs. Lyon, embroidered green tulle; Miss D. Mitchell, black velvet; Miss E. Baveu, cyclamen taffeta; Mrs. Bailey, floral georgette; Miss Dumbeton, black georgette; Miss J. Cumming, black net, pink and silver; Miss K. Fagan, white georgette; Miss R. Shaddick, beige lace; Mrs. Daniels, cerise georgette; and Messrs. Martindale (2), Haley (2), Humphrey?, Scott, Zohrab, McDonald, Keegan.
