ESPERANTO CLUB
The weekly meeting of tho Wellington Esperanto Club took place last Tuesday night in the Y.M.C.A., Mr! Il C. Jack presiding. ,It was pointed out that Esperanto was not intended to supersede any national language, but had been brought forward merely to assist international relations, as far as language difficulty was concerned. The language was composed ot International roots bound together with sixteen grammatical rules, was phonetic, and had. no exceptions. The comparative simplicity of Esperanto was demonstrated in the Instructional classes wh'ch followed under the guidance of experienced teachers. Toward the conclusion of the evening Mr. L. E. Dust gave a lecture on "La Feuomeno de la Mlrago.” The last item was an original Esperanto comedy entitled “La Pensia Papero," presented by Mr. Vernon Leek and Sir. Bertram Potts, club secretary.
