PLAGUE BREAKS OUT
An Epidemic in Barcelona Madrid, August 29. Bubonic plague has broken out in Barcelona, supposedly due to contaminated clothing appropriated from a refuse dump outside the city. There are GO deaths, and 140 are in hospital. The city is being lavishly disinfected. Trams, buses, and restaurants reek of carbolic.
