WINTER SHOW
Satisfactory Attendance ATTRACTIVE DISPLAYS Visitors continue to file into the Winter Show throughout the day and evening sesisons, and the attendances are considered by the authorities to be very satisfactory. A slight falling-off in the numbers, compared with those of .last year, is accounted for by the depression. Novel features that have not been seen in previous shows are fairly numerous, and machines engaged in various industrial processes attract much attention. Tlie stalls in the show are exceedingly varied in character, and are attractively arranged. The side-shows provide varied entertainment. The free entertainments which are provided continue to be a feature of the evening sessions. The conjuring . and two-handed cartooning of a Chinese magician, and the tight-rope, trapeze, and dancing artists combine to provide a fine vaudeville entertainment. Another of these attractions will be provided this evening. The dog show, a popular feature, will begin ou Friday. Iu addition to the classes usually found at such a show will be several novel classes, prizes . being offered for ugliness, length of tail, and other attributes. These classes, the prizes for which are being presented by the Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals, have as their object the encouragement of a love for dogs.
