MORE TIN CANS AS LITTER.
. A new Worcestershire can factory has just been opened, with a capacity of 100,000,000 cans a year. It has special machinery to produce tins suitable for all sorts of vegetables and fruit. An English paper says: “We welcome this new industry., but cannot help wishing once more that we could have better arrangements to dispose of tin cans when they are done with. They have become a national plague, and every part of the country is littered with them. It is high time that there was a proper organisation to dispose of this valuable material instead of leaving it to become an eyecore, a nuisance, and a danger.
