(Rec. August 30, 5.5 pan.). I® Sydney, August 30. The 50-kilometre walking championship of New South Wales was won by G. A. Smith, - New South Wales, in 5 hours 7 minutes 2 seconds. W. J. Clark, Randwick (5:23:25) was second.'and C. W Grigg, the Queensland champion (5:31:26) was third. Seven competed. A strong wind hampered the men.
