Lott defeated Mrs. Shepherd Barron and G. P. Hughes, 4—6, 6 —l, 6—4. In the quarter finals, Mrs. Harper (Oakland) and Allteon defeated Mr. and Mrs. Van Ryu, B—l, 5—7, 6—4. Miss Pittman (England) and Keith Gledhiß (Santa Barbara) defeated Mrs. Whlttingstall (England) and Sidney Wood (New York), 8—1,6 —3. Miss Pittman and Gledhlll defeated Miss Phyllis Mudford and F. J. Perry to reach the quarter finals, 9— T, 6—4.
