BRIDGE EVENING
Hutt Unemployment Relief A series of flag bridge parties is being given weekly by Mrs. A. X. Lees, Queen's Road. Lower Hutt, in aid of the local relief funds. The sixth evening was at her residence on Thursday last, wheu the rooms were charmingly decorated with spring flowers and foliage. In addition to providing the prizes and supper, Mrs. Lees subsidises the proceeds, so that no party realises legs than a stated amount. By these evenings quite a large sum has already been donated to tho funds. The orizes for the evening were won by Airs. lloo,son, who received a brass tea caddy; Mrs. Fauvell, Oriental tablecover; Air. Stewart, a box of cigarettes. A delicious supper was provided by the hostess, and the evening was concluded by all singing “For She's a Jolly Good Fellow.” The annual meeting of the Lady Jellieoe Club, Wanganui, was held on Friday afternoon.
