Highly Successful Ingleside THIRD OF SEASON The third ingleside of the season to be held by the Wellington Caledonian Society took place at St. Peter’s Hall on Wednesday evening last. (Judging by the large attendance and the social nature of the gathering it is evident that the Caledonian .Society has come into its own again in the holding of the inglesidcs. Right from the initial waltz till the close of the evening everything went with a swing that spoke well for those in charge. There were the modern fox-trots and one-steps, the old-time waltz, sehottiSehe, maxina, ninepins waltz and disappointment waltz, and the Scottish Circassian circle, eightsome reel, Scottish reel and Highland schottische. Miss Kitty Conuor gave a tap dance, to which an encore had to be given. Misses Boyd and Miller, Mr. W. E. Boyd and Master C. Stewart gave the Reel o’ Tulloch, with the Highland reel as an encore item. Miss Trixie Boyd also danced a seantriubhais. Songs were contributed by Miss Maclndoe and Jean Owens (Horopito), and Mr. W. Mackenzie, and a recitation by Mrs. Hill, all of whom having to respond to recalls. Air. Alailman acted as accompanist, while for the Scottish dancing Pipe-Major W. Fraser and Pipers W. Smith and R. C. Orange provided the music. The supper was a feature of the gathering, tables heavily laden being brought into the dance hall lor the purpose. These tables were tastefully decorated with narcissi and violet, and gave a pleasing effect. This was the work of Airs. Baudinet. The AI.C. for the evening was Mr. M. Gray Nasmith. He extended the thanks of the society to the artists, to the women who had assisted, and to the pianist. Proceedings terminated at midnight with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Prior to the commencement of the ingleside the M.C. referred to the loss received by Chief R. H. Nimmo in the death of his mother, Mrs. Hamilton Nimmo, and as the-gathering stood in silence PipeAlajor IV. Fraser played the lament,
